Hi Tony:

Greetings from Augusta. I wanted to follow up with you about the discussion that we had at our meeting in May. I am sorry about the tardy response but I was in France for part of the interval and didn't get around to some of my scheduled activities until I returned.

As I mentioned at our meeting we have a kind of local activities newspaper here in Augusta called "The Metro Spirit". This is a free publication available around town. While it focuses on local events they might be interested in advertising for the film festival at Amelia Island. In looking through the current edition they have various large ads (some of which are in color) as well as a classified section. Before I contact them I wanted to ask which type of ad you would want. I would think a larger type ad with an image related to the festival might be best. They will charge for this of course.

I will see about what sort of interest level in the festival exists at our local university (Augusta State Unviversity). Emory University and the University of Georgia (in Athens) also have film studies departments and I would be happy to contact them if you would like.

Can you send me an update on the itinerary for September? I'd like to tell these folks what films are scheduled, etc. Were we able to get a "celebrity" yet...? Have the venues been worked out?

My wife (Rhee) and I have tentative plans to return to Fernandina for at least some of the September events and will be sending our financial contribution in shortly. I would be able to volunteer for at least one of the days if we are able to come and Rhee might be able to do this as well. Would this be helpful? At any rate I will confirm our plans about this with your group within the next couple of weeks.

Again I am sorry about how long it took to get back to you. I certainly enjoyed meeting you last month and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Best regards.
Mike Fincher
